Here's what Art had to say about my ATK:
Hi
Tom,
I
rode the bike last WED., FRI. and SAT. out in Johnson Valley (102 degrees
on WED). I put 10 gals. of fuel thru that bad boy.
All
went well and the bike runs just like it's suppose to. Fired up on the fist
or second kick every time, hot or cold.
Is that a stock pipe on the bike? Changed the main jet (richer) and bike
runs better at top end. I also installed the skid plate, new grips, fuel
lines, gas and air filter, spark plug, Blendzall @ 36:1 and new rear tire.
Runs like a bat out of hell.
One
thing that was a pleasent suprise is the weight, bike feels more like a
250 than a 406cc. It's lighter than the '89 406. Kinda tall and doesn't
crave a turn well but hey, I knew that!
Good
choice on the front rubber - it tracked well and went where it was pointed
to.
Suspension
is pretty close to my riding style, I'll make some minor tweaks and it should
be spot on.
I
did get it to wobble at high speed but nothing serious. Maybe a Scotts stabilizer
would help?
You
were right about the hard seat, my butt still is sore the few times I sat
down between whoopdees.
Thanks
for the sale and smooth transaction. Very much appreciated.
Regards,
Art Jurado
